MyHome Lifestyles was founded by Alex with one clear purpose: to provide a quality of household staffing service that simply did not exist elsewhere in Surrey and Sussex. Not a database. Not a CV-forwarding service. A genuinely personal introduction agency — one that took the time to understand every household it worked with, and every candidate it represented, before making a single introduction.

Over twenty years later, that purpose has not changed. We are still small by design. We still visit every client in their home before beginning a search. We still meet every candidate in person before placing them on our register. And we still believe that the best placements come from taking the time to truly understand both sides of the relationship — not from moving quickly.

We have placed exceptional housekeepers, nannies, private chefs, estate managers, domestic couples and virtual PAs with professional families, UHNW individuals, celebrities and global business professionals across Surrey, Sussex and Kent. I started MyHome Lifestyles because I believed — and still believe — that finding the right person for a private household requires more than a good CV and a quick interview. It requires genuinely knowing both sides: the family's world and the candidate's character.

Twenty years of placements have confirmed that conviction. The families who call me back are not the ones who needed someone fast. They are the ones whose housekeeper has been with them for four years, whose nanny their children adore, whose household simply works — quietly, consistently, beautifully.

We visit you first

Every search begins with a home consultation — a private, complimentary visit to understand your household, your standards and the kind of person who will thrive in your home. We listen before we search. This is not a briefing call. It is a proper conversation, in the place that matters most.

We present one person, chosen carefully

We do not send you a shortlist of strangers and ask you to sort through them. We search our register of vetted, personally-interviewed candidates and identify one person we believe is genuinely right for your household. Our recommendation is considered and confident.

We introduce you in person

Before the first working day, we facilitate a personal meet and greet in your home. Both sides walk the property, discuss expectations, and establish a clear understanding of the role. The first day holds no surprises for anyone.

We stay involved

Our involvement does not end at placement. We remain available throughout — for questions, for concerns, for advice. We check in after week one and month one. If difficulties arise, we are your first point of contact, not a helpline.

We guarantee our placements

Every placement carries a six-month free replacement guarantee. If a placement does not work out within six months, we find a replacement at no additional fee. No bureaucracy, no blame — just the right outcome for your household.

We are discreet at every stage

Discretion is not a feature of our service — it is the foundation of it. We handle every enquiry, every search and every introduction with the same complete confidentiality. NDA arrangements are available for Bespoke engagements where required.

Early 2000s

MyHome Lifestyles founded

Alex establishes MyHome Lifestyles with a clear purpose: to provide a genuinely personal introduction service for household staff across Surrey and Sussex. The first placements are made within weeks — full time housekeepers and nannies for professional families in Guildford and Farnham.

2006–2010

Expanding into estate and UHNW placements

Reputation grows through word of mouth across the Surrey and Sussex network. First estate management and UHNW placements made. Domestic couple and private chef introductions added to the service.

2012

The Bespoke programme introduced

In response to growing demand from UHNW clients, the Bespoke programme is formally launched — offering household consultancy, tailored staff training and lifestyle management as dedicated services alongside placement.

2016–2020

Virtual PA and household admin placements established

As professional households evolve, so does the service. Virtual PA and household administrator placements are established as a dedicated offering alongside the traditional roles.

2024

Digital Wardrobe Management launched

A genuinely new concept in private household management — the complete cataloguing of a wardrobe into a private digital system, accessible from any device, across multiple properties. Launched as part of the Bespoke programme.

2025

Luxury Domestic Cleaning introduced

The Luxury Domestic Cleaning service launched — giving the quality and consistency of an employed housekeeper with none of the complexity. A vetted, self-employed professional matched to your home and your standards.

2026

No other agency visits every client at home before starting a search. We do. Always. It is the only way to truly understand what a household needs.

We search for the right person and present them. One, carefully chosen introduction. Not a folder of CVs for you to sort through yourself.

We meet every candidate personally

Every candidate on our register has been interviewed in person, DBS checked, referenced and assessed by us. We would not place anyone in your home that we would not place in our own.

We remain involved after placement

We check in after week one and month one. We are available throughout the placement. If anything needs addressing, you call us — not a helpline.

We guarantee every placement

Six months, no quibble replacement guarantee. If a placement does not work out, we find a replacement. At no additional fee.
